Please Do Not Parabolic - a cinematic essay with sound artist Pim Zond

Please Do Not Parabolic is a feature-length documentary by Perry Mark Stratychuk with enigmatic musical artist Pim Zond and his influences in noise music and avant-garde sound design while living in China. Inspired by the work of Chris Marker and Maya Deren, this cinematic essay was shot entirely on an iPhone 7+ and also presents a unique view of life in China through expatriate eyes just prior to the start of the global pandemic. Shot on location in China, Japan, and Canada. Produced by Perry Mark Stratychuk and Jayn Huang.
