When is a door not a door? China Doors - a film by Perry Mark Stratychuk

Living abroad was a profound experience for me and I photographed so many details of my life there.

"China Doors" is a short film and a brief glimpse at the wide variety of door designs I encountered while living in China. Utilitarian and practical all, from modern to vintage, from the inventive to the decrepit. The city locations where the still images were photographed were Beijing, Tianjin, and Chengdu.

The film also includes an original electronic music soundtrack recorded while I lived in Tianjin.
